Meet Sandra

As a resident of District 14 for over 40 years with a long-standing connection to Sioux Falls, Sandra has witnessed the resilience and strength of our community. She is committed to upholding our core values, which include a strong dedication to education, support for working families, promotion of small businesses, advocacy for women's rights, reducing stigma around mental illness, and ensuring access and opportunities for individuals with disabilities.

Sandra devoted 40 years to the field of education, including serving as a Middle School Curriculum Coordinator in the Sioux Falls School District, an Instructional Coach, and a teacher at both Patrick Henry Middle School and Kilian Community College.

She is happily married to Tom Henry, who was the proud owner of Norman’s Menswear in Sioux Falls, where he dedicated 50 years of hard work. Together, Tom and Sandra are blessed with four children and ten grandchildren. Sandra’s parents were models of public servants, and she is proud of her father’s dedication and service as the sheriff of Charles Mix County.
